The adjustable cuff lets the wearer modify the fit and coverage. It also creates a prominent front surface for the engraved patch while allowing the original Carhartt® label to remain visible on the left side.

Custom Laser-Engraved Patch

Your artwork is laser engraved directly into the selected patch material. The process creates a tonal design by revealing or altering the surface of the leather rather than applying ink. This produces a clean, dimensional appearance suited to bold logos, business names, initials, and simple graphic marks.

The patch is attached to the front cuff beside the authentic Carhartt® label. This balanced placement keeps your branding visible without covering the manufacturer’s label.

Laser engraving does not reproduce full-color artwork. The appearance and contrast of the finished design depend on the chosen patch material, its surface color, and the engraved artwork.

A $35 setup charge applies to the order. Additional artwork-preparation charges may apply if the submitted logo requires extensive rebuilding or modification before engraving.

Clear, simplified artwork produces the best laser-engraving results. Vector files are strongly recommended because they provide clean edges and scalable details.

For the best result:

• Convert all fonts to outlines in vector files.

• Use solid black artwork to represent the areas to be engraved.

• Avoid gradients, transparent effects, and full-color shading.

• Remove photographs, drop shadows, and complex textures.

• Use bold lettering and clearly separated design elements.

• Avoid extremely thin lines and very small text.

• Keep the artwork within the selected patch shape and engraving area.

A cutting bleed is not required for laser-engraved patch artwork.

Artwork Review and Digital Proof

Your submitted artwork will be reviewed before production. If the logo includes details that may not engrave clearly, we will contact you to request a revised file or approve necessary adjustments.

Before production, a digital proof will be emailed for approval. Carefully review:

Production begins only after the proof has been approved.

Production Time

Standard production requires approximately 5–7 business days after artwork and proof approval. Production time does not include artwork preparation, proofing delays, weekends, holidays, or shipping transit time.

Orders requiring artwork corrections or delayed proof approval may take longer. Availability may also vary according to order quantity, hat inventory, and current production capacity.
