Gallery-Wrapped Canvas Construction

Gallery wrapping extends the canvas around the sides of the wooden stretcher frame, producing a clean, frameless presentation. The approximately 1.5" depth gives the finished print a substantial profile and allows it to stand away from the wall like traditional gallery artwork.

Depending on the artwork and selected layout, the wrapped edges may use an extension of the image. Important faces, text, logos, borders, and other essential elements should remain within the visible front area so they do not wrap around the frame.

Semi-Gloss Textured Canvas

Your design is printed on textured canvas with a semi-gloss surface that adds depth while supporting vibrant color and detailed image reproduction. The texture gives photographs and artwork a more artistic appearance than standard photo paper.

Choosing the Right Canvas Size

Select a size that matches the proportions of your original image whenever possible. Using a different aspect ratio may require cropping from the top, bottom, or sides.

Square images work best with square canvas sizes, while portrait and landscape photographs should use a compatible rectangular size. The 12" × 36" panoramic format is particularly suitable for wide landscapes, city skylines, group photographs, and horizontally composed artwork.

Low-resolution images may appear soft or pixelated when enlarged. Larger canvas sizes generally require higher-resolution source files.

Artwork and Image Preparation

For the best printing results:

• Prepare artwork at the selected finished size.

• Use a resolution of approximately 150–300 DPI at full size.

• Use CMYK color mode when possible.

• Keep important content within the visible front safe area.

• Avoid placing critical text, faces, logos, or borders near the wrap area.

• Review the image carefully for focus, exposure, cropping, and unwanted objects.

• Flatten transparencies and outline fonts when submitting vector artwork.

Standard print bleed alone may not provide enough image area for the gallery-wrapped sides. Use the template for your selected canvas size to account for the front image, wrap area, frame depth, and safe zone.

Print-Ready File Requirements

• Include a minimum 0.125" bleed where indicated by the product template.

• Provide sufficient additional image area for the gallery-wrapped edges.

• Accepted formats: PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, JPG, and PNG

• Maximum upload size: 75 MB

• Submit high-resolution artwork whenever possible.

• Convert fonts to outlines in compatible vector files.

• Embed linked images before uploading your artwork.

If your file exceeds 75 MB, contact us for an FTP upload link. You may also export compatible artwork as a high-quality JPG or PNG to reduce the file size.

AI and PSD templates are available to help you position the artwork correctly. To request a template, contact us with your order number, selected size, and product type.

Digital Proof and File Review

Your uploaded artwork will be reviewed within 24 hours. If we identify a concern involving resolution, dimensions, cropping, wrap placement, safe margins, or another production detail, we will contact you before printing.

A digital proof will be emailed for approval before production. Carefully review:

• Image selection and orientation

• Cropping and composition

• Visible front area

• Gallery-wrapped edges

• Colors and brightness

• Text and spelling

• Logo placement

• Selected size

• Overall layout

Production begins after the digital proof has been approved.

Production and Turnaround

Standard production takes approximately 3–5 business days after artwork and proof approval. Shipping transit time is additional and depends on the destination and selected delivery method.
