Custom Roll Labels – Multiple Shapes, Materials, and Finishes

Create consistent, professional packaging with Custom Roll Labels designed for products, bottles, boxes, bags, mailings, promotions, and everyday business use. Choose from nine shapes and a broad selection of vinyl, BOPP, metallic, textured, permanent, and removable materials. Printed in full color and supplied on convenient 3" cores, these labels support manual application and compatible automated labeling systems.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Nine available shapes: Match the label format to your packaging, artwork, or promotional purpose.

  • Versatile material selection: Choose white, clear, metallic, textured, permanent, or removable label stocks.

  • Indoor and outdoor options: Select a compatible material and finish for the intended application environment.

  • Full-color printing: Reproduce logos, product information, photographs, graphics, and promotional messaging.

  • Gloss or matte finishes: Add shine and protection or create a refined, low-glare presentation.

  • Convenient roll format: Labels are wound onto standard 3" cores for organized storage and efficient application.

  • Manual or machine application: Specify the required wind position when labels will be used with an automated applicator.

  • Flexible order quantities: Order from 100 to 20,000 labels for small product runs or larger packaging programs.

Custom Labels for Products and Packaging

Custom roll labels provide a practical way to apply consistent branding and information across products, containers, packaging, mailings, promotional materials, and business supplies.

Unlike individually cut labels, roll labels remain organized on a continuous roll, making them convenient to peel and apply. Depending on the selected material and finishing option, they can support indoor packaging, temporary promotions, transparent designs, premium metallic presentation, textured branding, or qualifying outdoor applications.

Available Shapes

Choose from the following label shapes:

  • Rounded Rectangle

  • Rounded Square

  • Rectangle

  • Square

  • Circle

  • Oval

  • Starburst

  • Heart

  • Arched

Available sizes, materials, and finishes may vary by shape. Confirm the selected configuration when placing your order.

Label Material Options

White Vinyl Label

A versatile white vinyl material suitable for qualifying indoor and outdoor applications. Its opaque surface supports strong color reproduction and clear visibility on compatible surfaces.

Clear BOPP Label

A transparent film label intended for indoor use. Unprinted areas allow the packaging or container to remain visible, creating a clean, minimal, or “no-label” appearance.

White BOPP Label

A durable white film label for indoor product branding and packaging. Its smooth, opaque surface provides a dependable background for colorful graphics and text.

Silver Foil BOPP Label

A metallic film label that gives compatible designs a reflective silver appearance. It is well suited to premium packaging, specialty promotions, and products requiring an upscale presentation.

White Textured Label – Estate #8

A white stock with an elegant textured surface that adds visual and tactile character to compatible packaging designs.

Cream Laid Textured Label

A cream-colored material with a subtle laid texture, suitable for traditional, artisan, boutique, or classic branding.

White Laid Textured Label

A white textured stock that provides a refined, paper-like appearance for premium labels and specialty packaging.

White Removable Label

A white label intended for temporary use and easier removal without adhesive residue under suitable application conditions.

Clear Removable Label

A transparent removable material for temporary promotions, instructions, identification, or applications where the underlying surface should remain visible.

Finish Options

Clear Gloss Laminate – Indoor

Adds a shiny appearance while helping protect compatible indoor labels from moisture, abrasion, and everyday handling.

Clear Gloss Laminate – Outdoor

Provides added protection for compatible outdoor label materials exposed to moisture and changing environmental conditions.

Matte Finish – Indoor

Creates a smooth, non-reflective appearance suited to elegant branding, text-focused designs, and packaging that requires a softer visual presentation.

Finish availability depends on the selected label material, shape, size, and intended application.

Roll and Core Specifications

Labels are wound onto 3" cores, a common format for organized storage, manual use, and many label-dispensing systems.

If the labels will be used with an automated applicator, specify the required wind position. Confirm the following requirements for your equipment before ordering:

  • Label dispensing direction

  • Leading edge

  • Copy orientation

  • Inside or outside winding requirement

  • Maximum roll dimensions, when applicable

An incorrect wind position may prevent labels from feeding or applying properly.

Roll Distribution Rules

Labels from 0.5" × 0.5" through 3" × 3"

  • Quantities up to 1,000 are supplied on one roll.

  • For quantities above 1,000, labels are generally supplied as one roll per 1,000 labels, with an additional roll for each remaining 500 labels.

Labels from 3.5" × 3.5" through 6" × 6.5"

  • Quantities up to 500 are supplied on one roll.

  • For quantities above 500, labels are generally supplied as one roll per 500 labels.

Actual roll counts may vary according to label dimensions, material thickness, finish, total quantity, and production requirements. Specialty sizes outside these ranges may follow different roll-distribution rules.

Adhesion and Temperature Information

Qualifying permanent adhesive materials can be applied at temperatures as low as 25°F and have a stated service-temperature range from -60°F to +200°F under suitable conditions.

Actual adhesion and durability depend on:

  • Selected label material

  • Application-surface composition

  • Surface cleanliness

  • Application temperature

  • Moisture and humidity

  • Texture and curvature

  • Indoor or outdoor exposure

  • Handling and storage conditions

Apply labels to clean, dry, compatible surfaces. Testing the selected material before a large or critical application is strongly recommended.

Do not apply the labels directly to frozen materials.

White-Ink and Transparency Notice

White ink is not available on:

  • Silver Foil BOPP

  • Clear BOPP

  • Clear Removable labels

White areas in artwork submitted for these materials will remain unprinted. On clear materials, these areas will appear transparent and allow the application surface to show through. On Silver Foil BOPP, the metallic material will remain visible.

Review transparent and metallic designs carefully before approving the digital proof.

Food-Contact Notice

These roll labels are not approved for direct contact with food. Apply them only to compatible exterior packaging, containers, wrappers, boxes, bags, or other indirect-contact surfaces.

The customer is responsible for determining whether the selected label material, adhesive, ink, finish, and application comply with applicable packaging and labeling requirements.

Choosing the Right Material

Consider the following factors when selecting a roll-label material:

  • Application environment: Determine whether the label will be used indoors or outdoors.

  • Surface type: Confirm whether the label will be applied to glass, plastic, metal, paperboard, or another compatible material.

  • Desired appearance: Choose opaque white, transparent, metallic, cream, or textured stock.

  • Adhesive requirement: Decide whether the label should remain permanently attached or be removable.

  • Exposure conditions: Consider moisture, abrasion, temperature, sunlight, and handling.

  • Application method: Confirm whether the labels will be applied by hand or machine.

  • Packaging color: Remember that clear labels allow the container or surface color to influence the finished appearance.

Artwork and File Preparation

Prepare artwork according to the following requirements:

  • Include a 0.125" bleed around artwork extending to the cut edge.

  • Keep important text, logos, barcodes, and design elements safely inside the trim area.

  • Use high-resolution graphics and photographs.

  • Recommended color mode: CMYK.

  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them.

  • Avoid overprint attributes unless specifically required.

  • Clearly identify the requested shape, finished size, material, adhesive, and finish.

  • Specify the required wind position for automated application.

  • Review clear and metallic designs carefully because white areas may not print.

  • Maximum upload size: 75 MB.

  • Accepted formats: EPS, AI, PSD, JPG, PNG, and PDF.

If your file exceeds 75 MB, contact us for an FTP upload option. You may also export suitable artwork as a high-resolution PDF, JPG, or PNG to reduce the file size.
