Make Every Mailing Part of Your Brand
An envelope is often the first part of a mailing that a customer sees. Custom full-color envelopes help your correspondence stand out while presenting your organization with a consistent, professional identity.
Add your company logo, brand colors, photographs, patterns, promotional messages, contact information, or supporting design elements to create an envelope that coordinates with the material inside. They are an excellent choice for invoices, statements, invitations, announcements, direct-mail promotions, nonprofit appeals, and other customer communications.
Unlike envelopes decorated after assembly, these envelopes are printed while flat. The printed sheets are then cut, folded, converted, and glued into the final envelope shape. This process provides broader exterior design flexibility while maintaining the construction areas required for seams, folds, windows, and adhesive.
Available Sizes and Styles
#9 Commercial – 3.875" × 8.875"
A practical commercial format for invoices, statements, payment documents, remittance materials, and everyday office correspondence.
#10 Standard – 4.125" × 9.5"
The most familiar business-envelope size, ideal for standard letters, invoices, notices, contracts, and professional correspondence.
#9 Commercial with Window – 3.875" × 8.875"
Designed for documents with recipient information positioned to show through the window. Artwork must remain clear of the window, seams, and applicable postal areas.
9" × 12" Vertical Catalog Envelope
A larger format for brochures, reports, certificates, proposals, presentation materials, and documents that should remain unfolded.
A7 Announcement – 5.25" × 7.25"
A popular size for 5" × 7" invitations, greeting cards, announcements, event materials, photographs, and promotional mailings.
70 lb. Opaque Smooth White Paper
These envelopes are produced using 70 lb. Opaque Smooth White paper, a bright, uncoated stock that provides a clean foundation for full-color artwork.
The smooth surface supports sharp text, detailed graphics, and vibrant brand colors. Its professional appearance also coordinates well with business letterheads, invitations, presentation materials, and other printed stationery.
The paper is compatible with many laser and inkjet printers. Because printer equipment, heat settings, feed mechanisms, and ink systems vary, testing a small quantity before processing the entire order is recommended.
Full-Color Exterior Printing
This product includes full-color printing on the outside of the envelope. Compatible exterior areas may include the front, back panels, and flap according to the selected template and envelope construction.
The design may include:
Interior printing is not included unless it is specifically offered and selected as a separate option.
Flat Printing and Envelope Conversion
Each envelope begins as a flat printed sheet. After printing, the sheet is cut, folded, converted, and glued to create the finished envelope.
This process allows artwork to reach supported exterior areas more effectively than printing on an already assembled envelope. However, glue zones, seams, folds, windows, and other manufacturing areas must remain clear according to the product template.
Use the template for the exact envelope size and style ordered. Templates for similar envelope sizes may not share the same folds, window position, seams, or no-ink areas.

Design Recommendations
Follow these recommendations for a clean and production-ready design:
-
Use the template for the exact envelope size and style selected.
-
Keep essential text, logos, and contact details inside the designated safe area.
-
Extend backgrounds to the required bleed line when printing to a supported edge.
-
Keep all glue and no-ink zones free of artwork.
-
Avoid placing critical elements across seams or folds.
-
Keep artwork clear of windows and applicable postal-processing areas.
-
Use adequate contrast between text and its background.
-
Convert fonts to outlines before submitting vector artwork.
-
Review the flat template and the final folded orientation.
-
Avoid unnecessarily large areas of dark, high-density ink.
Heavy ink coverage may soak into uncoated paper, increase show-through, or cause offsetting during manufacturing. Lighter backgrounds and carefully controlled color coverage generally produce the most consistent results.

Important Artwork Considerations
Envelope artwork requires more preparation than a standard flat printed sheet because the finished product includes folds, seams, flaps, glue areas, and—in some configurations—a window.
Please remember:
-
Artwork placed over a fold may not align perfectly after conversion.
-
Text and logos should not cross critical seams.
-
Glue areas and designated no-ink zones must remain blank.
-
Window-envelope artwork must allow adequate clearance around the window.
-
Postal addressing and postage areas should remain readable and functional.
-
Backgrounds intended to reach an approved edge must extend through the bleed area.
-
Dark colors may appear different on uncoated paper than they do on a backlit screen.
Final printed colors may vary slightly from on-screen previews because monitors display RGB light while commercial printing uses CMYK inks.
