Specialty Finishes

Raised UV

Raised UV applies a clear, glossy, dimensional layer to selected parts of the design. Use it to emphasize event titles, logos, dates, borders, patterns, and other focal points against 16 pt. Premium Matte Cover.

Raised Foil

Raised Foil combines metallic reflection with a noticeable tactile effect. It can highlight headlines, logos, admission details, borders, and selected graphics for a more luxurious presentation.

Raised UV and Raised Foil elements cannot extend to the final trimmed edge. Separate mask artwork may be required to identify the areas receiving the specialty treatment.

High Gloss UV Coating

High Gloss UV coating adds shine and surface durability. It works well with colorful event artwork, but coated areas are not suitable for writing or additional printing after production.

High Gloss UV Front Only

This option adds a glossy, durable finish to the front while leaving the reverse with a less glossy surface. Some variation in color and brightness may be visible between the two sides because they receive different treatments.

Aqueous Coating

Aqueous coating is applied to qualifying orders of 250 or more printed on 100 lb. Gloss Book or 100 lb. Gloss Cover stock. It provides light surface protection while maintaining a polished appearance.

Finish availability depends on the selected paper, size, quantity, and printing configuration.

Choosing the Right Paper and Finish

Choose 14 pt. Gloss Cover when vivid color and shine are priorities. Select 14 pt. Uncoated Cover when you need a natural texture or writable surface. Matte paper supports an understated, low-glare presentation, while linen, pearl, kraft, and Trifecta papers create more distinctive tactile experiences.

For dimensional contrast, pair 16 pt. Premium Matte Cover with Raised UV or Raised Foil. When high shine and additional surface durability are more important, choose an available High Gloss UV option.

Prepare your artwork according to these requirements:

• Include a 0.125" bleed on every side where artwork or background color extends to the final trimmed edge.

• Submit an EPS, AI, PSD, JPG, PNG, or PDF file.

• Keep the standard uploaded file at or below 75 MB.

• Contact us for an FTP upload link if the artwork exceeds 75 MB.

• Alternatively, export large artwork as a high-resolution JPG or PNG to reduce its file size.

• Verify all event names, dates, times, venue information, ticket details, contact information, and sponsor logos before submission.

• Keep Raised UV and Raised Foil elements away from the final trim edge.

• Provide any required mask files for specialty finishes.
